Let us tell
A story old
Of a king
A king of flesh and blood
Oh how many
Stories were told
Of our king
How very long
Was his reign
In the very flesh and blood
His daughter fair
Countless times was
She lost and found
his sons quarreled
And rebelled, oh,
What fools He
Had for sons!
His friends were
Both false and true.
And yet was
He but a king
A king of
Mere flesh and blood
And was I not this king,
His son and friend all in one?
